Sacred Grounds 2010 and beyond! Sacred Grounds enters another decade with poise and understanding that the music, scene and people are ever changing. To stay ahead of the curve we have found ourselves experimenting with new & the old alike. Starting 2010 off with a new concept party called Electric Magic Love Machine. This is SG's newest adventure geared towards the tech-heads and techno crowd. Our first guest to bless the decks was non other than America's leading tech-house deejay THREE of Hallucination Limited, NYC. Three is not only the flag barer for tech house in America but is also one of the true artist who can conjure up a dj set composed of techy beats, techno, minimal house, and bits of deep house. His sets can sometimes be considered more of a seance due to his capacity to put clubbers in a trance. His musical style is along the lines of Doc Martin, Josh Wink, Terry Francis, and Evil Eddie Richards. The next time THREE is in Los Angeles don't miss out on a chance to be part of history in the making. You won't be disappointed. When you think of Sacred Grounds you think of a dirty underground warehouse filled with base, packed crowd and intelligent light show. We plan to keep the same formula of producing shows, but with the advance of club sound systems and extended hours of operation Sacred Grounds will be taking the next step by running one-offs in the club atmosphere. Starting off with its 15 Year Anniversary to be hosted at the world famous MAYAN Club centrally located in downtown Los Angeles. We will be taking another giant leap in the music curve by introducing to the electronic generation to band that hals from Venezuela who has taken the world by storm! We are proud to announce we are working on confirming the hit latin soul band Los Amigos Invisibles. Their sound is simply amazing. Combined with their latin roots LAI implements a style that can cater to nu-jazz, disco, funk and ska genres alike. For Los Amigos Invisibles, it has been over 60 countries visited, 1 Latin Grammy + 2 Latin Grammy nominations, 2 Grammy (NARAS) nominations, 6 studio albums, 1 live DVD+2CD, 1 record label, 18 years in the music business, and with high hopes to continue to do what they love to do. This is a show not to be missed. Don't forget to catch Sacred Grounds resident deejays Mark 'Blakkat' Bell, Dj Lou, and Carlos Baruch aka G-Dubbs in a town near you.

imageLos Angeles based DJ G-Dubbs aka Carlos Baruch is a key player in the LA House Music Scene. With more than 19 years in the electronic music industry and over 300 appearances to his credit, he shows no signs of stopping. Born and raised in Los Angeles, G-Dubbs got the early bug for electronic music in the early 90's. This lead him to create Sacred Grounds in 1995 which is now recognized as one of the longest running house events on the west coast. Going on 15 years in the making, Sacred Grounds has established itself as a true legend in underground house music. It's no wonder why his hard work, drive, energy, and love for house music has carried over into his passion as a DJ.

G-Dubbs' chunky-funky underground house style mixed with acid house & tech house continually turns the heads of tastemakers worldwide, drawing him not only new fans, but landing him gig after gig. He has played at renowned events & venues from Los Angeles (Chemistry), San Diego (Lifted), to Las Vegas (Club Risque) and Miami (Club Deep). He has also shared the decks with notable and renowned DJ talents, and artists. G-Dubbs has recently played for Om Records House of Om Tour with Mark Farina, Fred Everything, and Dj Heather.

His work as a DJ has been immortalized on countless underground mixed CDs; Innerspace (2006), Slippin' into Darkness (2007), live at Aquagroove (2008), Under the radar (2009), and Dancetronic (2009). He has been hosted on radio shows gaining worldwide recognition—Powertools (hosted by Richard Vission) and triberadio.net. This has gained the momentum that he was hoping for to continue to strive to represent Los Angeles and the west coast on the international stage. He has recently signed with the uber hot record label Shaboom Records and plans to release his first EP in summer 2010.

At venues such as PS1 (New York) Fabric (London) Tribal Gathering (Southport) Revival (Los Angeles) Avalon (New York) Opium (Miami) The Gathering (San Francisco) The Hard Rock Café (Las Vegas) Brixton Academy (London) Back 2 Basics (Leeds UK) Vanguard (Los Angeles) Sunset (San Francisco) Cro Bar (Miami) Show Box (Seattle) Turbo (Toronto) E-Werk (Colne) Paradiso (Amserdam) Montmartre (Paris) Mansion (Miami) The Viper Room (West Hollywood) DNA (San Francisco) B3 Candy (Los Angeles) Metropolis (Berlin) The End (London) Renaissance (Derby UK) Circus (Liverpool UK) and as a regular guest alongside longtime studio partner Doc Martin at the legendary Sublevel party in LA. And now Mark has found his newest residency with the legendary Sacred Grounds.
imageDj Lou Bio: Louis Armendariz [aka DJ LOU] has been gracing the decks for over 14 years. Lou began his musical journey at an early age of 13 attending electronic music events, concerts, and underground parties that were like no other. Lou felt instant bliss and eventually picked up 2 turntables and a mixer. Lou at a very early age began mixing 80's, disco, funk and hip hop and other sounds, creating dance floor heat at local parties across So. Cal. Lou took on his unique style with the help of long time friend and neighbor Aaron Carter aka DJ Flash. Flash introduced Lou to techno, house, Disco and other electronic music that would later influence Lou to get involved. In 1995 Lou met up with Sacred Grounds co-founder Carlos Baruch aka G-Dubbs who together would eventually form a new Sacred Grounds event in LA which eventually turned into one of LA’s longest running underground party over 14 years of solid subculture events where Lou held his longest running residency. Sacred grounds to this day played a major role in LA's underground dance ritual. Lou became a local favorite playing with talent such as Derrick Carter, Mark Farina, DJ Heather, Chocolate Factory NYC, Miguel Miggs, Marques Wyatt, Julius Papp, Tony Senghore, Jonene, the wicked crew SF, JT Donaldson, Diz, DJ Sneak, Blakkat and DJ Ali just to name a few. Lou like no other was able to not only keep up and play with this talent but was able to tell a story with his music and create a vibe at every event he played. Anyone can mix records and match beats if they practice enough, but only a select few can tell a story with their music and create the “VIBE” and that's the difference. Lou has been exploring different towns in the past years and has been honored to DJ at events in various venues throughout LA, SF, San Diego, OC, Honolulu, Vegas and Miami. Lou has also been exploring production and released the soul shock EP with Eddie "chill" Posadas in 2001 with the infamous track called “Do it Till Ya Burn". Lou sold over 1200 copies of vinyl and MP3 which were sold across the country and are still played today by some “HOUSE MUSICS LEGENDS”. Lou and his new music partner Randy Leotti have been lacing some new tracks and will be releasing some new heat for years to come. Stay tuned and keep an ear out for what DJ Lou has in store.
